Vitalii Skakun, at the cost of his life, blew up the Genichesk Bridge to hamper the advance of the Russian invaders.
The fighter from the Ternopil region was only 25, but now he is a Hero of Ukraine, posthumously. On the very first day of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, this true patriot sacrificed his life to prevent the invaders by blowing up the Genichesk automobile bridge to prevent the Russian military equipment from crosspassing.
The guy volunteered to perform the task but did not have time to leave the bridge before the explosion. According to Vitalii’s brothers, he only called and said that he was going to blow up the bridge. And then there was an explosion.
